DANA CARROLL, PHARMD

Dana G. Carroll, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP, works with The University of Alabama Family Medicine Residency, which is operated by the College. She also provides direct patient care primarily to geriatric patients at University Medical Center, also operated by the College, as part of inter-disciplinary teams in the Geriatric Clinic and Transition of Care Clinic. Carroll received her bachelor’s degree and PharmD degree from Auburn University School of Pharmacy. She completed an ASHP Accredited Primary Care Residency at the University of Mississippi in 2000. She attained Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist certification in 2002 and became a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist in 2016. Upon completion of her residency, Carroll worked as a clinical pharmacist in the Emergency Department at Duke University Medical Center. She joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa College of Pharmacy and College of Medicine-Family Medicine Department in 2001. She joined the faculty at Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy in 2006 as an associate clinical professor and began working at the College with its family medicine residency and UMC. She holds adjunct faculty appointments with the College and The University of Alabama’s Department of Psychology.
