GRIER STEWART, MD
Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine
Grier Stewart, MD, CMD, FACP, is the internal medicine clerkship director in the Department of Family, Internal and Rural Medicine at the College of Community Health Sciences.
Stewart received his bachelor’s at Davidson College, his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine training at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has an interest in geriatrics and long-term care and serves as medical director at Forest Manor Nursing Home and is a certified medical director CMD.
Stewart is a member of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, serving on the ACP’s Governor’s Board of Directors for Alabama, and is a member of Alabama Medical Directors’ Association serving as its president in 2016-17. He has practiced medicine in Tuscaloosa for more than 20 years and serves on numerous hospital and community boards and committees.
Stewart and his wife have two sons.
