KRISTINE GRAETTINGER, MD

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Kristine Graettinger is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences, as well as a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at University Medical Center, which the College operates. Graettinger earned her medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.

Graettinger provides comprehensive women’s health care, including care during pregnancy, contraception management and specialized gynecological treatment and procedures. She is also interested in minimally invasive management of abnormal periods, including endometrial ablation and robotic and laparoscopic-assisted hysterectomies. Graettinger is supportive of natural childbirth after Cesarean section when feasible. She maintains privileges at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Graettinger’s passion is the delivery of compassionate care to women of all ages. She is committed to educating her patients, as well as the future doctors enrolled in our training programs.
