UMC Town Halls

University Medical Center and WVUA 23 have partnered to provide the West Alabama community with important information and resources from UMC health experts through weekly virtual town halls.

UMC Town Halls in April:

• Mental health awareness and first responder and health care professional mental health resources, with guest Dr. Martha Crowther, clinical psychologist at University Medical Center and professor and associate dean for Research and Health Policy at The University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences.
• Mental health awareness, long term effects of COVID-19 and how to improve well-being and happiness, with guest Dr. John Burkhardt, clinical psychologist at University Medical Center and associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at The University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences.
