University Medical Center Continues Providing COVID-19 Vaccines

University Medical Center now has the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine available for its Pediatric Clinic patients who are 12-to-17 years old. UMC began administering the vaccine to clinic patients on May 24.

The vaccines are provided by appointment Monday through Friday from 9 am to 11 am at University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa (850 Peter Bryce Boulevard, 35401). To schedule an appointment, call (205) 348-1471 and leave your name, date of birth and a way for UMC to contact you.

UMC continues to provide the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, by appointment, for patients age 18 and older. To make an appointment to receive the Moderna vaccine, call (205) 348-1471 and leave your name, date of birth and a way for UMC to contact you. Patients cannot receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine if they have tested positive for the virus in the previous 14 days. They also can’t receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine if they have received other vaccinations, including flu and shingles, in the period of two weeks before the first COVID-19 vaccine dose through two weeks after the second dose.

UMC first began administering COVID-19 vaccinations on January 8. As of May 22, UMC had provided 12,898 COVID-19 vaccines.
