Evening Hours for Scheduled Appointments and Walk-Ins Resume at UMC

University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa resumes evening hours this week for in-person scheduled appointments and walk-in care.

Beginning Tuesday, August 11, evening clinic hours will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Appointments will be scheduled, and walk-ins will be accommodated according to capacity.

Scheduled appointments can be for routine health-care services, including well-child visits, women’s health care, minor procedures and sports physicals. To make an appointment, call (205) 348-1770. UMC in Tuscaloosa is located at 850 Peter Bryce Boulevard.

UMC had converted evening hours and office visits to telemedicine visits this past spring due to COVID-19.

UMC provides comprehensive and patient-centered care to the West Alabama community from three locations – Tuscaloosa, Northport and Demopolis. Evening appointments are only offered at the Tuscaloosa location, but are available to UMC patients from other locations, as well as new patients.

Patients of all ages can receive care at UMC for the full spectrum of needs – from preventive care and wellness exams, to management of chronic conditions, to treatment for acute illness and accidents. Laboratory and x-ray services are provided on-site. Nutrition counseling and mental health counseling for individuals and families are also available during daytime business hours.

UMC accepts BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama and other private insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid.
