Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common neurodevelopmental condition of childhood and often continues into adulthood. Children with ADHD may struggle to pay attention, control impulsive behavior or stay still. While the exact causes are unknown, research suggests that genetics play a role. Though ADHD can’t be cured, it can be managed with behavior therapy, medication and healthy habits such as good nutrition, daily activity, limited screen time and adequate sleep.
