University Medical Center welcomes two new physicians

Dr. Savannah Giovane joined University Medical Center in August as a family medicine obstetrics physician. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine with CCHS, which operates UMC. Giovane received her bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Alabama. She completed medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine. Giovane completed her residency at the Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program in Montgomery, Ala., where she received additional training in hospital care and obstetrics and gynecology. Her interests include women’s health, hospital medicine and preventive care.

Dr. Mallory Marshall joined University Medical Center in August as a pediatrician in the Pediatric Clinic. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics with CCHS, which operates UMC. Marshall received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and religion from Samford University in Birmingham. She completed medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine and completed her pediatrics residency at Prisma Health Midlands at the University of South Carolina. Her interests include child abuse and neglect.
