Services are provided to all UMC patients and tailored to their specific needs. UMC social workers help patients solve and cope with problems, identify resources and provide assistance with:
- Financial difficulties
- Substance abuse treatment
- Uninsured or underinsured status
- Obtaining medical equipment
- Affording medications
- Housing insecurity or instability
- Food insecurity
- Chronic health issues
- Transportation problems
- Mental health care
- Social issues
- Other issues needed to enhance the daily lives of our community members
