University Health Service Pharmacy provides services to University of Alabama employees, and family members, who are enrolled in the University’s health insurance plan. The pharmacy carries many common prescription items and some over-the-counter medications.
We can fill prescriptions from University Medical Center clinics, as well as from your family physician and other outside health-care providers, as long as the medications are stocked in our pharmacy. We accept written, call-in, fax and E-Script prescriptions. If you currently have refills at another pharmacy, we will be glad to transfer the prescriptions to our pharmacy. Refills may be requested by phone or through our Pharmacy Mobile App.
Credit cards and Apple Pay are the only forms of payment accepted. Please remember to bring your health/pharmacy insurance card with you to the pharmacy. If you have questions about your prescription or any of our over-the-counter products, please call (205) 348-6276.
Our pharmacists are available to offer counseling (free of charge) to discuss your medications, health concerns or to recommend over-the-counter products to treat short-term illnesses that do not require a doctor’s visit.
University Health Service Pharmacy is conveniently located on the UA campus, just steps from UMC’s Faculty-Staff Clinic. The address is 750 Peter Bryce Blvd., Tuscaloosa, 35401. Please use the entrance on the side of the building that faces the UA tennis courts.
