Family Medicine Residents

Katie Taheerah Muhammad-Reed, MD, is a PGY-2 at The University of Alabama Family Medicine Residency.

Muhammad-Reed is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and received her bachelor’s degree in biology and pre-medicine from Texas Southern University (Houston, Texas). She received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College (Nashville, Tennessee).

Her special interests lie in women’s health, international medicine, and integrative medicine. After residency, she would like to return to Texas to practice at a comprehensive health care center focusing on integrative family medicine and preventive medicine in an underserved community. She would also like to travel annually for medical missions trips.
