William Brooks Burns, MD
Psychiatrist
Dr. William Brooks Burns is a psychiatrist with UMC in Tuscaloosa and cares for patients of the Betty Shirley Clinic. He is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the College of Community Health Sciences and teaches the College’s medical students, resident physicians and fellows. CCHS operates UMC. Burns earned his medical degree from the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama in Mobile and completed his residency at the University of South Alabama Psychiatry Residency Program, where he served as chief resident.
