UMC’s Family Medicine and Pediatric clinics participate in Reach Out and Read, a program that provides patients ages 6 months to 5 years a new book at each well-child visit that they can take home.

Clinics
Family Medicine
The Family Medicine Clinic provides comprehensive health care for all members of the family, from newborns to seniors. The clinic also offers specialized care in neurology, geriatrics and endocrinology.
Internal Medicine
The Internal Medicine Clinic specializes in the care of adults, focusing on treatment, management and prevention of acute illnesses and chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. We also specialize in geriatric and neurological care.
Pediatrics
The Pediatric Clinic cares for children, from newborns through adolescence (up to age 16), providing well-child and sick-child care. Our physicians and nurse practitioners can also meet specialized needs of patients, including care of premature infants and evaluation and care of children with ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder).
OB/GYN
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic provides obstetrical and gynecological care and other women’s health services, including colposcopy and high-risk obstetrical care. Our physicians also deliver prenatal and other maternal health services in outlying rural communities.
Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine
Those with mental health needs are cared for at The Betty Shirley Clinic by psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. Our providers work with patients to provide them with a biopsychosocial understanding of their conditions.
Sports Medicine
Active individuals and athletes receive prompt evaluation and treatment of medical and musculoskeletal conditions at our Dr. Bill deShazo Sports Medicine Center.
